We weren’t made for fluorescent lights and crowded gyms. We were made for stillness, for breath, for space.
That’s why we created Dead Calm—a slow, grounding morning yoga experience held inside our garage space at The Void.

Meet Your Instructors

Led by instructors Ray West and Lanna Curran, each class is designed to ease you into your day with intention. Whether you’re new to yoga or already grounded in your flow, this is your time to reconnect—with your breath, your body, and your focus.

Lanna Curran

Lanna Curran is a Virginia Beach-based yoga instructor with a foundation in classical ballet and over two decades of movement experience. After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training locally, she has brought yoga and group fitness to Navy sailors and their families through military, private, and corporate settings. With a master’s degree in psychology and additional certifications in Yoga of the 12 Steps Recovery and Warriors at Ease, Lanna approaches each class with intention, awareness, and a deep respect for both the physical and mental practice of yoga.

Ray West

Ray West is a local yoga and music educator with a focus on healing through movement and sound. Certified through The National Yoga Academy with a 200-hour YTT, Ray blends Hatha, Vinyasa, and Pranayama breathwork to create classes that are both physically challenging and spiritually grounded. With a background in music healing and yoga therapy, Ray brings a thoughtful, impactful presence to the studio—offering students a space to move with intention, breathe deeply, and leave feeling more connected than when they arrived.

For those who plan to attend yoga classes at The Void on a routine basis, we're excited to offer a 10-class yoga punch card!

Instead of paying $20 for each class you take at The Void, you can buy 10 classes at one time for $150, unlocking a discounted per-class rate of $15. 

Please note: After purchasing the punch card, you will be prompted to create an account on our site. Once you have purchased and logged in, you will be able to book any weekday or weekend class using your credits.
